I decided to sell the sub and the box as well. Going with 2 hds312's and getting another enclosure made. Can someone be kind enough to tell me how much I can sell the sub and box for so I have an idea ?

the sub doesn't change the vehicles res frequency.show me some picks. if you do it how j tell you too you will find the true res frequency. typically that alignment sealed up will peak around 48-50..

windows down peaked 28hz, windows up peaked 39hz

of course it doesn't change the vehicle res frequency, but you wont be able to guess that, better off guessing what the overall peaks are tbh

Yea metering isn't the same and 48hz? Gross that's what I'm talking about. People don't do the numbers we are doing at the freq we doing then at... At world finals the judge **** his pants that the Hhr was peaking at 35hz when the other guys are all 50hz lmao... Then we go outside an demo for 2 hours while everyone else looks at their 40-50hz burp machines

garb a 1.5 cubed sealed box and a sealed box woofer.sa z4 is perdect

test frequests response in open air. then put the woofer in the truck play a sweep with white noise with all your equipment in. of course off..then sweep outside the truck mic in the car.

find the highest medium between the three and that's the cabins res.

the woofer will peak hardest where the specific alignment peaks. eve. when I designed a system to play flat I typically tuned to a octave lower than the cabins FS. it's a good starting point to a flat response..

If your using a zv4 3cubes after displacement port 10"x3.5" tuned to 28hz woofer and port on same baffle.

if I wanted my **** to peaky at 28 and have 4 10 in muds crossed at 50hz to keep up its not hard. but I prefer a friend from about 30-60 and to cross my midshroud 70. I don't like woofers that can't play over 50 hz. terrible group delay no definition in the music just bloated lowend.. not my style.

How much you pay. those subs actually will do good in a slightly larger box. 5 cubes tuned to 36 will *******. it really depends on what type of frequency response you want. 4.5 is gonna peak hard between about 32 and 60. in most cabins. trunk cars and larger cabin peak lower with trucks and walls peak higher. typically around 50-55 with no mods for trucks and large cars 42-44. just depends on how we there built etc..

I personally wouldnot touch those subs though. very inefficent. bottom heavy in large boxes.

I paid $599 for the sub $230 for the box. And okay well i have a fairly big trunk for a sedan. If I am told the best possible specs, that will make the subs perform at full potential I would appreciate it. I just measured my trunk, I have 40" wall to wall, 17" clearance, and about 35" depth because of where my amp is mounted.

if you want a lot of low end and don't mind a big box a higher qe lower fs woofer will do best. if you want something that will hit hard down low and up top in a large box a qe of .48-.55 with a fs around 32 would do nicely.
