Old school guy with new sub questions

First post. Im adding a system to my 2023 Chevy club cab. Im starting with an esp 2 amps and 2 subs and will add the rest when I have more time. I enjoy a little rap but mostly speed metal. Kick drum is my jam. Im planning on doing JL 10's. Im looking at the w6 and w7 models. A friend mentioned some the shallow model. I want hard tight bass. I can buy whatever I need but when it comes to amps Im a bit tight. Im planning on running 2 older Kicker ZX750's. I dont want to waste anyone's time asking for differences, im just hoping to find out if one is better than another. Im planning on a sealed box but I can do ported if its suggested. Thank you so much and I love the forum.

The w7 will cost more
You will gain more output
Will handle few more watts
84+ db sensitivity
23mm xmax
1.25 cubic foot each sealed

W6 will cost less
Less sensitive 82+db sensitivity
19mm xmax
Recommended 0.6 cubic foot each sealed

the w6 might suit you well

But if I could throw a wrench in the gears
You could contact nick at stereo integrity
See if he will be getting more of the
sql 10'S which are half the cost of w6
And out perform them
not sure why they aren't listed and other stock low
Maybe a tarrif thing 🤷‍♂️
I don't listen to metal but my sql 15 works wonders with double kicks

Speed Metal you say....

Well I can offer this advice.... Spend as much as you can on sound deadening the doors, I mean go nuts. Find some midbass that fit the door locations and cross them over between 50 and 60hz. You should get that snap of the kick drums you can feel and the bass guitar in your throat!!

Thanks guys. Yes, sounds deadening is definitely on the list. The roof vibrates like a pornstars *** toy with brand new batteries. Its awful. Im looking at the prices of the W7's and can't justify it. The W6's might be closer to the price im willing to spend. Any suggestions on door speaker size that anyone would suggest?

I liked the image dynamics when I looked. I have a bit of a connection for JL stuff but if there's anyone with a hookup for Image dynamics, I would definitely be interested.

Look at the dayton audio ho subs. They do really in a smaller enclosures and sound every bit as good as a w6 for a lot less
That's 100% what I'd run. High efficiency (90db), doesn't require a large box, easy to get a flat response curve EQ wise.

You can usually get them depending on the sale for like $210-230 each. Really hard to beat them at that price.

I was looking at the Daytons and seen they had several versions. Im interested in learning more about them. I seen HO, Ultimax, HF, yada yada. All I am looking for is tight hard bass. I seen a couple of suggestions but which model is the best for my request. Then I can compare them to the top of the line Image Dynamics and make a decision. Im guessing there shouldn't be an issue with box size or volume requirements. Thank you guys so much for helping me get things rolling.
