the EV's ur talking about, are those the same speakers that hang on the walls at movie theaters??

They could be in some of the larger THX theaters. But they are mostly used in double 18 front loaded subs for concert reinforcement.

i just installed my brahma in my living room i think i was inspired by this thread...i have it in a 3 cube box tuned to i think 30 (i made the port wider then the original plans i dunno if that tunes it up or down) now that wouldn't seem like much (compared to what some of the people were talkin about in this thread) until i hooked up my pro audio qsc rmx 1450...it does 1400 watts at 4 ohms and boom its def loud enough for me, prolly gonna piss off the neighbors....i wish it was tuned a lil lower for home theater but the amp has a lpf set at 30hz so it doesn't matter i mostly listen to music so its rockin with my dads ole 1988 D-7 cerwin vegas providing tha mids and highs i'd give it a 7.5 out of 10

I have 2 of these in my room 15"my aunt gave them to me they get really loud i wish i had the cash to build a real ported box for them. They are kinda old so i ordered replacement subs for xmas i hope they are just as loud.

Replacements i ordered think they will be as loud?
