My HT Sub is from VMPS. I have the Original sub in Piano Black with the Mega woofers, improved wire, and interior sound coating. The sub has a single 12" Carbon woven woofer facing forward, with a Paper 15" Radiator facing the floor. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 9.5! Only taking off for its size. Not all women would accept this table size woofer. In fact I now keep a blanket folded on top of it, as people tend to walk in and sit down on it lol! Musically it ROCKS! Many people use this woofer who use ribbon speakers, as this sub does better then most in keeping up with the fast ribbons. Its a must for Magnepan users. My woofer is tuned to 18hz, so as you can guess... It goes VERY low. I drive mine with a Bridged Rotel Amp that gives it around 400 Watts. I bought mine silightly used. They can be bought pre-made, with a kit but not assembeled, Or speakers and plan only, you build the cabinets yourself. ok, now i remember from SI.net. now that you explained it a little better and showed an extra picture, it makes 200% more sense to me and looks alott better. i thought it was ugly as hell when you posted the pic on SI, but i didn't say anything cause it was all about how you judged the sound of it. 9.5 is killer man!!!!!!

my setup has a velodyne spl 10". out of 10 i would rate it 9/10. my dad has the gotham from JL. he was one of the first to have it supposedly. that thing is about a 15/10. he has somewhat of a full blown TV room/theater though.

i have 2 12" subs in my HT, one has a mid 90's Orion Extreme SVC sub and the other is some random 12" that John from Stryke/Acoustic Elegance was nice enough to give me

i was powering them from a Dynaco 400 amp(300x2 at 4ohm), but the right channels seems to be "staticy" so i took them off that and am running them from a Proton AA-2080(120x2 at 4ohm)

they are underpowered so they dont sound as good as they did on the Dynaco, but i need to get it looked at before i use it again
