i should have either a ported SS RL-I 8" or an id10v3 within two weeks for the bedroom. either will be ported and tuned to the low 20s...running off of a 300W bash plate amp... should take a fat dump on most of the subs at stores costing twice the price

Have an ED e8a.44, but it crapped out on me...

It was pretty **** awsome for a dorm room, going to either get it reconed or get one of the new RL-i 8" subs.

I'm using a JBL 1041 that was originally in my old Honda. I've got it in a 1.75ft tuned @ 24hz. I'm using a 150 watt plate amp that is on clearance at MCM. It took a lot of modeling to come up with a design I could live with since this sub was definitely optimized for automotive use. But it paid off, this sub is awesome! It mostly sees HT use but it sounds almost as good with music. Musically speaking I would have went with a sealed box but I doubt Jurassic Park or U-571 would have been the same!

I was, and let me say that this thing fricking pounded for a sealed 8". I am goning to try to get it reconed though, cause that should be cheaper than buying a RL-i 8, but then it probably won't be a flatcone anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I heard an Rl-i 8 this weekend in like 1.5 cubes tuned to 33 in home, and it was the most surprising bass I've ever heard in my entire life.
