what is the point of a 9 second "daily driver"? Can't use it all on the street.

Would **** to have a sub 11 second anything as a daily driver, screw crawling into a roll cage everytime you get in and out.

If i was trying to drag I wouldn't be using an Eclipse. The eclipse is a semi-luxury yet sporty car that's pretty and nice to take out to places like the beach or club.

I like the evo9, that what I have its my daily driver and runs 11.50s in the quarter, with full interior, a/c, and a system.

Hmmm leather interior. chrome trim and blue interior accent lights. 20" chrome rims, Climate control, 6-disk rockford fosgate front load CD changer and 650 watt 9 speaker sound system, automatic sunroof, heated power seats. yeah sounds pretty shitty.

There are many more that do not. It's not made for a 1/4 mile head turning acceleration. It does 0-60 in 6 seconds a full second fast that the camry and has MUCH more top end. It's plenty fast for a daily driver and is quick enough to burn many street racers.

instead of car talk we should talk money. What is your budget? you'll prolly be looking at around 20k for a car then its mods to get even close to 9secs. Just buy a car that is already built for around 12k. I see mustangs all day being sold with 500+hp for around that.

I am hoping to be at or a little under 20k when all is said and done. If I have to wait on rims until next year that's fine. This year I would like to work on the 'Go'

i have owned a few 9 sec. street cars and i have a bunch of friends with them and zero of them are daily driven.

Probably domestic cars right? While I respect everyones opinion on domestic cars I really need something reliable that will last and let's be realistic American cars have not really been the cream of the crop in a long time.

I am not an idiot who races in the streets, the point is to have a daily driver I can go to work and pick up chicks in and also have the ability to go to the track and stomp on quit a few cars there when I want.
