I live in Medford Oregon but willing to travel up to 200ish miles for the right person. My system isn't high end but I know it will sound better with a pro tuning.

2013 Silverado 1500 Single Cab :)

Jensen CAR14mv/4v preouts Upgraded to Kenwood Excelon Ref DMX1058XR. I tried to cheap out and it showed... :)
JL Audio HD600/4
JL Audio XDM600/1
JL Audio C3 fronts
JL Audio C1 rear (fill)
JL Audio ACP208LG W3v3 dual 8" micro subs
DSP (I will install with tuners recommendation)

Looking for Time Alignment, REW/Measurement mic tuning, Parametric EQ, Crossover slopes, etc.

Thank you

It also may be beneficial to look on yelp for car audio installers in that area, to see all the reviews in detail.
I tried that but no luck. I went to a local ProAudio at lunch and talked about DSP and tuning. He talked me into a Kenwood Excelon Ref DMX1058XR to replace the Jensen. I didnt realize it would make a big difference...Ill install tonight to see if it makes me a little happier with the sound. Fingers Crossed.

Thank you.

That bs has ZERO to do with user enjoyment or accuracy imo... if it sounds good roll with it. Output and accuracy has nothing to do with all that flat RTA response garbage in a car audio environment. I've got cheapo 5.25" coax up front and a single 12 in back tuned 36hz. No Time alignment or all that bs, but it screams and hammers when called upon and the sub & midbass are very hard to localize. Using factory locations with no deadening. Its my daily beater. I'm reconing an 18 currently but only have a "1500W" micro amp atm. Once installed I bet I can still find some type of sq on deck power like I'm currently running.
Its not about all that TA, REW/Mmic , PEQ but it is in your levels, X-over slopes... etc

I was wondering about the Jensen paired with all JL gear. 🤣
LOL..I HEAR ya...Pun intended. I really wanted the volume knob, and choices are really limited. I grew up knowing Jensen was bottom of the barrel but this unit had 4v preout and 10.5 in floating screen. I was wrong...the difference between the Jensen and the Kenwood is night and day.

I like a traditional volume knob as well. I have one on Pioneer, but it's also a button to get into the menus and every-so-often I go to change the volume and end up in a menu and the next thing I know my HU changes colors.

Sound like you installed it...
The dsp / tuning technology / programing in the new Excelerons is pretty cool & dialed for what it is, extensive eq adjustments & default presets, programable , etc...
Have on in my kids ranger, their nice for what they are!
Very different from the last deck I purchased in the early 2000's.....

Check out Resonix.com for prices on remote tuning, which may only apply if one is using Helix gear, but they may also be able to refer you to an independent remote tuner as well.

Not sure how far you are from Boise, but there is a pretty good TWK tuner, and he may also offer remote tuning, not sure. Dick's Stereo, 208-323-0111.

Now learn to tune it where the bass is hard to localize. Use your xovers and levels plus a little help from the eq to boost hi's or cut that 100hz-200hz peak if needed. Sometimes a 100hz lowpass /w/ a 150hz hp works out once you play with the levels. Its not rocket science after all so why pay someone unless you're after the pedigree.

You could consider an online tune; you'll have to get a UMIK-1 (80$) and measure your set-up yourself. It's still tedious and at that point you could just do it yourself. I think you should learn to tune it yourself - it's worth the time. Also, you might think flat sounds the best, but it doesn't. It's technically 'correct' but it sounds really thin, harsh, and "fatiguing" (especially if you listen loud). For example, my very simple house curve looks like this:

I tune my front speakers to this. It's just a curve I like. That's another benefit of tuning yourself - you can play with the curve and find what sounds good to you. It would be a PITA if you get someone else to tune it and don't like it, and have to go back again. If your install and speakers are decent, you should only need wide Q filters and adjusting each speaker level for adjusting the balance. I don't EQ the subs, I change the box to change the response since EQing them reduces the output. I want to be able to send full unfiltered power to them without worrying about what frequencies are boosted.

Sounds like end of the day he’s happy with his new deck and this discussion is over but here’s a good source to throw out there…
From research ive done, this is the real deal & there not faking it....
Lots of SQ comp guys utilize him.
