What is a good track car?

You go out to your local track on test & tune night and count how many mustangs there are and get back to us.

There is a reason for it btw.

I opted to go with Chevy power though, im usually the only street driveable corvette out at my local track on a regular basis //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

If you wanna be a ricer get an older Eclipse GSX/Talon Turbo AWD

Those cars go for like 3-5K and with like 2K in mods you can be running in the 12's assuming the ****** doesn't blow.

And there is no way I can see you running sub 11's in your car without serious work. People just dont know how fast a 10sec car is, let alone a 13 second car.

A 240sx can be made pretty fast for cheap. If you want to take the time, a z31 (80's model z) can be made fast. Supras cost too much. I'm assuming you want a car fast in a straight away. Camero ss and transams can be had for cheap, build it and add a super charger (the compression is ****ed up for a turbo). A fox body would be cheap.

If you want to stick with a dsm (eclipse), get one that has a factory turbo, the internals will be stronger. Japanese cars are better for the twisties mainly. A 240sx factory motor can be had for cheap, build it, boost it, have a power to weight ratio advantage, cheap project. Key word is project. 9 seconds is silly talk. Check out some forums that are about this, your questions have already been asked and covered to death there.

haven't heard/ read much wrong with the 350z. I heard the 370z has a very cramped engine bay. Probably the 350z as well.
I am 3 years out from something so I am just getting an idea and starting to save up.
Not really, go to a local dealer and pop the hood on one of those 370z's.

Preferrably a Nismo with the CIA's i almost shit my pantz...

my next car WILL be a 370z omg they are amazing.

Mustangs are shit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i have had a few low 10 sec cars and 2 that ran in the 9 and in the process of building one that will run in the 7s. fox body mustangs are cheap to build and parts are everywhere. lsx camaros are going to cost you a little more but heads, cam, stall, gear and alittle dope and you will have a streetable 10sec car. to run 9s in anything is going to cost you big $$$$$

You're an idiot...

The cheapest easiest way to get fast is to get a fox body mustang. It's a good starting platform and the parts are cheap as shit.

If you want to spend some good money, go for the 03-04 Cobra. It should do high 12's stock with a good driver and can go a lot faster with simple bolt-ons.

bolt on for bolt on the ls1 fbody camaro will own the fox body mustang. but if you are wanting to run 9 its prob going to be cheaper in a fox body.
They are also at least 5 years newer and have 44 more cubic inches stock. Fox body parts are also way cheaper, so dollar for dollar, the fox will own the camaro. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I would still rather have a camaro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
