Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me with my subwoofer kit that stopped working out of nowhere.

Subwoofer: Dual 12” MTX Terminator subs
Amp: MTX Thunder 500.1
Wiring: Standard wiring with terminator kit

So when I turn my car on the amp light comes on and turns off immediately and the protect light is off. I tested the voltage of the power wire while not hooked into the amp and it’s 14V....when the wire IS plugged into the amp it only reads ~2.5V...not sure if that’s normal or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I’ve spent hours trying different fixes from online and nothing works.
Thank you In advance!

Check all power connections. Clean and tighten all connection points, refreshing contact points is always a plus even if you switch the amp out. Before all that, I would connect the amp next to the battery to see if it stays on. Neg to neg, pos to pos, and a short wire from pos screw to remote screw to turn it on. If it stays on, the likely culprit is your wires/fuse.

Ok thank you I’ll give it a try and let you know!
