HT Sub

JBL huh...
How much did you pay for it?
I'm always going to rock Harman products. My uncle used to sell JBL back in the 70s and 80s. He's still got his old 212 floorstanding speakers from the late 60's. Still sound fu(king amazing.

I paid $230 shipped BNIB.

At my house, we've got some old L1 bookshelf fronts. They are amazing. Especially for their age.

Sure, it's no SVS or Paradigm, (or similar)..too many to name, but it gets the job done for me.

i wanna do a set up for my dorm room just to use to listen to music but I want alot more bass than most of the computer speakers offer (jbl, logitech, etc). anyway I can do something that will hook up to my computer?

So many threads about this..getting ridiculous.

Do you have any form of stereo? If so, is it a mini system? or is it a HT type as in seperate components? Budget?

PM me.

Ok, so I hooked it up tonight for testing... still in the garage, on sawhorses, with the port taped together and held in at the end. Driver inverted, with no screws. I ran it off of my bp600.1.

Um.... wow. It only had about 300w on tap and this thing rocked. Phil Collins filled the whole garage. And it's actually larger than the living space I'll have it in. I think I'm going to get evicted. I let up on the port once and it basically ripped it back into pieces. Lots of air movement in the port... hopefully i won't have any turbulence problems.

Inverted subwoofer in a HT enclosure? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
No terminals right now, so I had to get it wired up. Plus the thing is a total ***** to get into its 1.5" recessed hole. And the inside is kinda dirty since my shopvac died, and I don't want anything getting into the exposed gap.

I did get a good bit of bondo work done though. Corners are starting too look pretty good.

You know I'm just breakin your balls; I'm a sucker for low key. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

It seems I'm actaully getting somewhere now. I think it took getting the bondo out.

I cleaned up all the imperfections, which took about a dozen different batches. Once that was done and I had cleaned up all the dust I started on the laminate. It takes the corners well enough, but getting the material directly adjacent to the corners will be interesting... I can heat it up but once its hot enough to melt I take it off and it bulges back out... I may have to keep it on and turn the iron off so it cools while being pressed flat.

Found a way to get the spots next to the roundovers... I just irons small spots then hold them down with a body dolly. Seems to just **** the heat out too, so it cools pretty quickly.

Now I just have to cut the seam. I have both layer overlapping, so I may have some semblance of a clean, straight seam.Cutting this stuff is tricky though. Even with a fresh razor blade. Hopefully I won't **** it up at this point.
