How many wire runs and number of RMS Watts you running?

The chart shows 1 run of 2/0=283A, so 2 runs of 2/0

should be more than suffficient for 300A according to the given current ratings. There will be a slight voltage drop under FLA operating of ~3%.............. depending on the exact type of cable and length of run.

Thanks guys for helping me out. Went with with 1 run of pos and neg from front and back batteries. Drawing 165 amps at 14.4 so I should be good for a while. Might upgrade to another run of each in the future but I doubt it.

Pretty interesting knowing what other run too! Keep it up

1 run of 2/0 weld wire from yellowtop under hood to yellowtop in the back...its all 2/0 and 6 awg speaker wire. its overkill for 1800 rms but it leaves room for improvement.

3500W RMS-1 run of 1/0 Kicker Hyperflex directly from alternator lead to rear batteries. 1/0 between all batteries. Once installing my Warhorse, 2 runs of 1/0, one from each alternator post to battery bank. Battery bank connected via aluminum rails.

Does anyone else run straight from alternator?

Lets say you ran one pos from alternator and one run from from battery. Who does this?
