How many grounds/power

Like my post said I'm getting the a 390 ano alternator installed tomorrow. The questions how many "big 3" sets should I run? Should I only run 1 or run 2 "big 2" sets? The rms of my system is about 5k watts. The shop quoted me 325 for one set and 750 for 2 sets installed. It's pure copper i believe they quoted me

All you need is a hammer crimper $17, a big hammer $9, and cable cutters $10.
The thing is i would need a dual output for the alternator ($30) then battery terminals ($40) then 10' foot of wiring ($50 depending on the brand) then I would need a crimper ($17 like you said) then a hammer ($9 like you said) cable cutters ($10 like you said) so in total about $156 labor is about 150 per hour at the shop sometimes less. I would honestly just have someone else do it because it would be faster and I'm going out of town Christmas day

yeesh too bad I'm not in your area, I'd hook you up for... 125 bucks/hour? 😂

To do all that work would take no more than an hour. The cables and connectors would be another $150. So, at $150 for parts and labor, you're not too far off.

At first, I clinched when I read they were charging $150 an hour. It's about time shops start charging what they should. All of these backyard shops charging $25 per hour killed the industry for all the top installers. Top installers are asking for $50 an hour. People never look at how much better of a job you will get from a $50 an hour installer over a $15 an hour tech. The $50 tech has a family and takes pride in doing nothing but good work, where the $15 tech is just doing it for fun and easy cash.
