Are American Bass XFL15s worth it?

Thanks dude, Yeah, i am new to all of these, so excuse me for not realizing some of this stuff at first, that guy is obviously a ****^ i wouldnt have posted on here if i wasnt looking for help.. But yeah i have been measuring my trunk and i wanna see how many cubes i could manage out of it. Ill post back results once i have a realistic number.
aww yeah you're on the right track

Get the height x width X depth of your biggest trunk (rear seats or trunk lid) opening to get the box inside the trunk, unless you plan on building the box inside the trunk.

I have a pretty big trunk, right now if my math is right i have about 14 cubic feet of space in the trunk from the back of the seats to the back of the trunk. So with the thickness of the box walls and inner walls/port , i should be good for the 8 cubes. Im certified in CAD and i am modeling a box design now and ill post a picture as well as the dimensions of it in a bit and see what you guys think.

So are you planning on building the box inside the trunk? Because the opening is what matters, if you cant get the box inside the trunk, its not gonna work.

What is a decent box design? Im thinking about tuning the box to 36 hz. Also, right now the box i have designed has 10.5 cubes volume (Considering thickness of box, and the xfl 15s mounted in). Will it make a difference if i have more than 8 cubes of volume? Or should i aim to have around 8 cubes.

lol gotta love noobs.
Will my amp power these subs? Is this amp good enough for my subs? Are these subs good? What subs should I get to get more bass? Is this a good brand? What can I expect to hit with my new subs? Can I do a hairtrick with these subs?
There is no need to be pretentious. You were a noob once.

Thing is, port takes up a lot of space along with sub displacement and bracing and that has a direct affect on box tuning. You dont care about what you have before accounting that in. Thats not a legit 8 cubes because that is gross airspace You gotta focus on what you actually have after accounting the port/subs/bracing AKA NET airspace. Let us know the exact height x width x depth dimensions. You'll want to fire the subs and port into the cabin and seal it completely off from the trunk.

You could go smaller. The larger box will increase efficiency meaning less power required but the room for error is larger. You could probably go as low as 6 or 7 cubes for those subs. 80ish sq inches of port and tune where you want.

That is EXACTLY what i want to do, seal the entire trunk off and fire it back to the front. Ill give you the dimensions and see what you think and any design you might come up with, It can be up to 39 inches wide, 19 inches tall, and up to 32 inches in length. Ill also post a picture of what i came up with, it has 8 cubes of volume inside , and is tuned to between 35-36 hz.

I modeled that and took into account all of the thicknesses of the walls as well as the subs being mounted and it has 8 cubes of volume inside and around 10.8 cubes if you count the airspace in the port area

your center port is wrong. You dont make a T in the middle of the box like that. You can do a plain straight shot or a little kerf but not a T. Only when the port is long enough to reach the rear wall and needs to bend to keep the same width is when you need to make a T intersection. Your port area is too little. You'll want to add a 2nd baffle and a lot more bracing.

I'd suggest downloading torres box calculator and crunching proper numbers before putting in a box design.

I'd go with a 34 hz tune with those woofers if you are going with 4 cubic feet net each. It looks smoother on winisd. Along with lots and lots of bracing.

Take a look at the port area per cubic feet, usually want that within 12-16 range. You were at less than 10 before with the other design.
