and i imagine atleast 4 grand in the engine...

I enjoy diving highly modified vehicles on the street.Everything I have is moderate to highly modified except my wifes Titan.

ehh forget driving a double or tripple clutch car...no fun for a daily imo....

Wanna talk fast? haha there is a guy around here that runs at the local strip. Exact model car. 91 skyline. Last I recal he had a good list of mods, nothing a normal person cant put on though. He had radials, cams/head combo, piston/rods, converter, fuelpump, ignition, Motec computer, 150 shot, gears, and that thing ran 32 lbs of boost. He ran down the 1/4 with a best of 8.2 and spun a little. Up that to a 250 shot, and some traction, and you easily got a 7 second car :0

Im at a crossroads. it is, swap out all the DD for bassworks, OR keep the DD's.

it would be swapped for 2 sets of the components and the 4 channel amp. along with 1 or 2 3000k amps which are huge and 4 12.4 subs:

next to a crossfire vr4000d. The 3000k are similar to AB200.1, E-audio 3000d, Goliath 3000d, SPL Dynamics 3000d.

and if we stick with DD there will be 4 10" (probably 2500's) and either two M2a's or 1 z1a(5000

im not sure many people on here have dealt with bassworks, but they have great products at very good prices. the reason for wanting to swap, is my buddy just picked up bassworks(he deals crossfire, dd, re, bassworks) and i have seen the performance of the products. and the DDs have really harsh sounding tweeters.

what do you guys think?

Stick with the DD so you dont have to reinstall the mids that I fixed lol.

well unless there are big savings switching over to bassworks...the DD stays:greedy:

anyhow, here are some pics from a few months ago when i did the dynamat. it was my first time dynamating anything and it came out nice imo. sounds way better now too. first i cut out the new speaker mount which was tightend down with the with stock screws. then i covered the seams with tuck tape to ensure no leakage. i did the same between some of the seams in the dynamat, again to ensure a good seal. it makes it look like it was done by unique whips i know, but it does sound worlds better

if anyone is curious...the trunk build will start in a while and it will include a lot of fiberglass, custom paint, carbon fiber, plexi and accent lighting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif. other things that will need to be done.. a large hole cut out of the rear deck to allow for airflow(and yes it will be done professionally to ensure structural integrity), a fiberglassed rear deck with the components mounted. that will be covered in carbon and the hole will probably have some speaker mesh covering it.

other non audio related things that will be done to the car in the next few months...new wheels/tires(very wide ones too), carbon covered front lip and rearwing

Other then that yah Canada has a few of these rolling around my town has 3 GTr 32s rhd and 2 rx7 rhd a bluebird rhd silvia rhd and a few celicas Too much money floating.

indeed...silvias are like 7k. the rx 7s are about the same...and a good gtr will run about 14k atleast
