WTF.. car problem has to be audio related

yea i see what you mean....have they complety checked your car 100%??..

ya they did charging tests, checked connecions.. now they are testing for parasitic drain so ive had to leave it there for 3 days while they had it hooked up to a bunch of testing equipment and everyday they have called and said they cant find anything wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif the only thing i doubt they did was test anything when the stereo was at full tilt.. they are always working on a lot of cars at once and i just dont see them blasting my stereo for any period of time.. it would be too loud and distracting.

it does have an alarm but ive never had a problem with my car until recently.. and the most recent thing ive done is i installed my system.. so im banking on the fact that thats gotta be the source of my problem

yea i see..

ya so idk.. maybe i wired something wrong with the headunit.. im 99.99999% positive i matched color to color.. me AND my dad were right there.. im sure one of us wouldve caught a mistake..

im gonna get the car back and nothing will be fixed and i guess ill have to figure it out on my own or sell all my audio stuff if that really is the problem

ill have to unplug my stereo for a week and see if my car is fine after that..

i just dont know what the problem could be.. it seems like it would be a parasitic drain but theyve been testing for all of that and found nothing.. i even told them after the second time i took it in to watch the amp very closely because i just put in a new system.. they swear up and down that the amp is fine and isnt affecting anything

ive been researching this all day for the past few days and ive seen other people who had similar problems but they've never come to a direct conclusion.. the thread ends and i never find out how the fixed it(if they ever did)

my only other option would be to install switches to cut everything off.. but thats a pain in the *** id rather not have to do and that just masks the problem

Your alternator/battery should be able to handle your amp's draw fine. I don't think the shop really needs to crank it up to see that. Do you have anything else pulling power from the battery, like neons etc? Also as I posted in your other thread, does your sub amp power off when you turn the car off? If not then there is your issue.

yes it does power off.

and the only neons i have are on my amp which power off when i turn the car off and open the door.

theres nothing else to my knowledge that would be pulling power from the battery. and apparently nothing to the dealerships knowledge either
