What is a SQ Sub?

Do you still have the OA sub op?
That is a great everyday sub and will dig deep while still getting decent response

Just pick a decent sub and make a proper box for it

Maybe add a little eq or just try to tune on your h/u and go from there

A proper box and a little know how in tuning can go a long way to being "yeah this sounds really good to me."
The OA15 would just be wayy way too much output for me. I don't have it though...I do miss it since they went out of business. I don't know if I should just go with a Sundown E10v3 or an IDQ10. Both would be in 1.25 cubes tuned at 31hz

Wouldn't happen to be v2 would they?
Actually yes, I have two of the infamous v2, and one v4.

The v4 is like new.

The V2 have puncture in the surround from a screw driver. (not my doing) I'll list them at some point.

How much would you take for the V4? I'm very interested //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif How much play time is on it? What amp did it run off of?

I sent you a PM and cleared some of my PM box

very few people know what it take to truely build low distortion high-output drivers.

maybe 5 people here can answer the OPs question. everyone else is pretty much talking out there ***.

low distortion has NO sound. its transparant. no warm or smooth tight or punchy. it simply plays the signal as intended.

its alot easier to get a driver with low mass low throw and low inductance. much harder to get a high excursion high output high inductance driver to sound good.

typically your "sq" drivers are short throw high efficency drivers. 10-12-15 size doesnt matter becasue it has great efficency. Id almost argue larger drivers are capible of sounding better because of the increased efficiency and lower excursion for a given output.

You seem to be missing something a few of us have already figured out.

Those high throw woofers do very good because they are not being driven to there maximum.
