Just take this into account. First, you wanted a semi-new van to put a killer daily system in. Everybody on here said that was a stupid idea and to just get a daily driver and a beater. Seems like a good idea now. Now, you say you want to sell the van and buy an old beater. Everybody on here says that would be a stupid idea, you've got too much invested. Contrary to popular belief there are some halfway intelligent individuals posting, take their advice into account.
24 15's and asstons of batteries > 16 12's and 9 batteries.monkey, my astro was a daily driver for 2 years, 16 12's and , 9 batteries and 2 alts, 164.4 on music, the astro is agreat platform to build from, my only problem was suspension, i broke many rear leaf springs - it was not intended to hold that much weight, do it again, i would bag it all the way around.I think i found my next bass platform, my friends wife drivers a mid 90's 2 door blazer xtreme, they are talking about trading it in, told him i want it.
going to 20's all the way around, bags, flip axle and spindles, when it goes down its going to rest on the ground, I am talking with a company now for equiptment sponsorship, they are releasing the new 18's and new amps in about 2 months, lloking very good for a 100% sponsor on equiptment, now got to find a wire sponsor.....
Ah ok, so I guess we're talking about something in the mid 150's (maybe touch a high 150) on todays meters?this build was back in 1994, took 2nd place at SBN in proextreme they put all pros in same power class, but my van was built as a 1000watt class (4 orion 2100hcca at .5 ohm, 2 orion 250hcca and ? ohms they ran another 24 mids/highs, i know they now use different weight meters, i was beat by mad marks hearse (i think they had 24-15's and 100,000 watts) by .2
