thats a very clean van you have there. i think if you just left it alone for a bit and came back to you, you might be a little more motivated to fix the problems youre having.

Right now the problem I have can be fixed for about $1k. Its either spend the $1k and keep driving it daily or get a daily and a cheap van.

Im 100% not going to buy a cheap car and drive that and let a 2006 model car with 45k miles just sit while paying insurance on it. Not going to happen.

I need to do something right now:

1) Put another Kinetik HC16v in to give me time to think

2) Get dual alts and run seperate electrical systems

3) Put car back to 12v and sell it

Until I do one of those my van is undrivable. Right now its sitting in my garage with the engine taken apart and a bunch of wires everywhere.

all you ned to do is make the van a 1/2 driven car. Buy that 2nd car, have the 2 cars, both able to drive whenever you want. That way, one isn't a burden on you and depending on your mood, you can drive one, and drive the other when your bored of it. What about running a flux cap like jake from sundown has? Then you don't have to deal with a shitty kinetik battery.

Btw, if you are serious about this astro and are going to do what you say, I wouldn't get anything smaller than a 2500 series truck. I think the limit for 1500's is around 8000 pounds total weight, trailer included, and thats for the top of the line version with the bigger engine and heavy duty suspension, trans cooler, etc.
