ok, ill go by ur method. thanx. could this be because ive set gains by ear and clipped the Hell out of em ?but if you do it my way, you know which one it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
yes. if you thought they were clipping, why the hell didnt you back them off a bit?ok, ill go by ur method. thanx. could this be because ive set gains by ear and clipped the Hell out of em ?
okclipping is turning a sine wave into a square wave (when the amp tries to amplify too much, or if the HU is sending a clipped signal) i'm not 100% on the effects of it, i just know it's bad, and normally you'll hear the difference
ok, but there still working ok and have no strange noises thoclipping can cause your subs to overheat which will eventually lead to coil failure.
Clipping high power subs with a low power amp generally won't kill them because thye have a higher tolerance to heat or a more efficient cooling system. So I'd say your subs just couldn't take the amount of power you were trying to force into them. Hopefully you have a warranty, if not well at least you came on to the forum to learn, and maybe you can find another setup real soon
why the hell not??? do u know something i dont???Dont wire the subs TOGETHER like that.
