one sub is moving more than the other

or dont undo the wires, if it comes back as some odd number other than ~1.0 then you know one of your coils is azzed out
but if you do it my way, you know which one it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ok, ill go by ur method. thanx. could this be because ive set gains by ear and clipped the Hell out of em ?

i didnt know if they were clipping. I think what it is is that Ive been pumping them but there just wasnt enough power and I was not happy as once u got deep bass, you just want more and more. iF i HAVE CLIPPED THEM, COULD IT be that I needed more power from the amp or are the subs just not up to it ? Please dont slate me as Im just learning . Thanx

clipping is turning a sine wave into a square wave (when the amp tries to amplify too much, or if the HU is sending a clipped signal) i'm not 100% on the effects of it, i just know it's bad, and normally you'll hear the difference

ok

clipping can cause your subs to overheat which will eventually lead to coil failure.

Clipping high power subs with a low power amp generally won't kill them because thye have a higher tolerance to heat or a more efficient cooling system. So I'd say your subs just couldn't take the amount of power you were trying to force into them. Hopefully you have a warranty, if not well at least you came on to the forum to learn, and maybe you can find another setup real soon
