problems with system dont laugh cause its not high dollar it hits just fine

big problem i cant tell if i blew my subs headunit or the amp to the subs when i disconnected the amp for the subs i can turn the radio up to 35 without a problem speakers work great but if i connect the subs i get a static noise its kinda weird amp is still powering on like it should and im pretty sure its still working do you think im puttin to big a stress on the preout in the back of my deck i got y splitters cause of the 2 amps i also heard the crackiling sound coming outta the 10s when i was checkin the wires in the back if i blew the subs then i might be time to get a 15 in kicker

L5 or L7 and just do a sealed box cause im not really good at calculation of ports yet but i am getting a new headunit regardless a pioneer avh-p4000dvd from a guy on here just gettin the rest of the money together this week give me your opinons on here or pm thanks guys

im not an expert on these things but make sure that the amp aint throwing direct current to the subs that happended to me and i was lucky i caught it on time i would test that amp to any other speaker u might have laying around

trouble shoot. connect come other subs to the same amp. of the new subs work then the amp is fine.

connect new amp to old subs. if the subs work then its the amp.

tuning wont matter so just grab a friends sub and plug it into the amp.

fyi, the only time people will laugh at you in here is if you are saying ur xplods hit 170 dbs or that ur W7 will decimate all.

as long as you stay humble people will normally help out.

should i get a 10 cause alls i got right now is 12 mtx 4500 series layin in a box in my room just plug them into the 10s wires and see if they move fine

I used a speaker that i didnt care aboult it was a stock 6x9 and it killed it on volume 1 by just touching it

people make fun of all the 6x9s i have but its all good , my money my choice. I personally like lots of everything and since i also listen to spanish music(which has little bass) this setup works fine for me

Theres usually a reason if no one else has it:crap:
I would check the wiring on the subs and amp, sounds like a ground is touching somewhere.

1. Tell me you dont have 2 10s and a 12 wired to the same amp...

2. Tell me that box in your sig is not a common chamber but at least 2 seperate chambers for the 10s and the 12....

3. Please use periods and commas as it makes reading your posts SO much easier.

first question correct , I have 2 wires a positive and a negative from the amp to the box. Then on the inside goes off that into the 12in sub. which bridges out to both the 10's. Then this may sound dumb, but my friends dad told me to cross from one 10 to the other so i tryed it wasnt sure what it was to do tho. The box that was in my sig has 3 chambers in it one for each sub. I calculated each chamber with a box cubic ft calculator online and did the measurments for each chamber. There is my grammer better lol .
