08 Yaris Sedan Questions

Hi everyone,

I have an 08 Yaris sedan with an integrated radio. I just ordered Focal components and 6x9's with an Alpine MRPF300 amp to power them. I had a friend who gave me his 2 12" sony xplod subs with the 760 watt amp to power them...I realize the gap in quality there, I have plans to replace the subs very soon. I plan on running a 4ga power wire to the trunk and splitting it off to the two amps.

My question is about the alternator. Is the stock 90 amp alt enough to handle that? If not, what is the recommendation for the problem.

mines a hb and doesnt have a system yet.

not so sure about the alt mine will be changed before it gets a system so srry

I read somewhere (maybe here, can't remember) that the stock one ran 3 amps no problem. I am skeptical though.

Say I do decide to get a HO alt, what should one expect to spend on that?

well install everything see how voltage does if dimming occurs or really low voltage do the big 3 if that doesnt fix the problem ad another battery then last resort alt

i will be doing a 300 on mine and running a kinetik 2400 under the hood (somehow)

it will work fine with the sony xplode amp...just do the big 3

Haha, its not a bad little car either. Not my first choice, but when it comes to parking in DC and gas mileage, you can't beat it.
