New system tell me what you think.

but should my headunit be fine? im really not going for looks and a screen isnt important to me. I just need it to run my system properly and of course sound good. i guess what im asking is will buying a more expensive HU make any difference in sound.
The headunit will work, yes. But you've got "SQ" gear there, and JVC isn't really known for making anything more than an adequate deck. They've got a couple nice ones. If you're looking new though, you'd be much better off looking into the Pioneer 80prs, lots of capabilities there. And if you're open to used, for a few dollars more, you could look into an Alpine 9855, 9887, Eclipse CD5030, 7100. Something with stronger pre-outs is always nice, so you don't have to crank the gains up as much.

Also, I'd agree with either ditching the rear-fill, or using something else, or only powering it off the HU. As stated, you want the sound-stage in front of you. With a solid front-stage, you won't hear the rear-fill anyways. So, if you are insistent upon using all 4 channels, and using the JL 6x9 w-ways, at least turn the gain down a bit on them so they don't interfere with the front.
