New system tell me what you think.

Rear fill in not needed. You want the sound stage on the dash board not the rear deck. Run a larger more powerful front stage and bridge the amp.
This, I completely removed my rear fill, and added kick panels instead. Remember audio is only recorded in a 2.1 ratio, there is no such thing as "surround".

how is the HU a weak link? would have purchashing a more expensive one actually upped my sq? im installing sunday si i still have a little time to change.... i was under the impression that this hu would be fine though
Yes.

If he is going for a SQ first setup it looks like thats whats going on I highly recommend ditching it.
A bit harsh. Remember, he's also focused on a warranty, already enjoys the brand, and figures he made out pretty good on the buy.

While I agree with you that he could get better sound for the money, to what end? Isn't he already happy with what he has? Would he be able to get that local, convenient warranty service? Might he get screwed ordering things online?

You know we all make compromises by getting better performance for less $$$.

No I didnt mean it like that. Thats a good start to a good small SQ setup. The W6 is one of the top SQ subs and for a Class D full range the HD is not to bad. IMO not A/B but not bad by any means.

Don't get me started. I'm with you, a D will never be an A/B but people are competing w/ Class D full pass now. Oh the humanity.

Meh.. Look at the people that are winning with the HDs. 750/1 going to each driver. There is so much headroom the amp will never get close to the limits

For 1500 you coulda got way louder. But as long as your happy.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
me either, it was ok for a newbie. Than went to a car audio show and was like.................oh now i see what ive been missing LOLOLOLOL
This is the ignorance of the CA community that bothers me

Who said anything about all systems have to be focused on getting loud?

And for the guy talking about shows/comps, don't forget JL takes home just as many if not more trophies than your favorite "underground" brands.

OP, if you like the warranty feeling and all I say you did good. Great amp and sub for sure.

Comps are nice on a budget too. Very laidback but nice.

You would think with all the fegs whining about "bright tweeters" that they would be more popular if people were smarter.

Spend $250-300 on an 80-PRS and see what you've been missing.
