No I'm not trippin I've owned the SX and XXX and her plenty of empty installs the SE ****** they were inefficient and bottom-heavy.

The se's used a 3inch 4 layer coil, an the sx's used a 3 inch 8 layer coil. I still have a pair of the last good 12 spoke model se10's, some of the best subs that I have ever used.

Appreciate the link and it’s compltetly different than that one but I was looking close and I swear it looks like round copper wire I don’t get it.... Gah when photobucket decides to work right I’ll have up some pictures. This is really throwing me for a loop and either way it’s temp. I’ll probably end up selling it local when I get the FUs.

When I hit it with the light at toward the top of the coil you could really see that it was round IRL.

I realized in trippin’ after looking at different voicecoils a lot of them can look more copper than the copper ones due to the laquer and adhesive coatings sorry y’all been out the game for minute.
