I'm an OBS guy, and the extended cabs have an insane turning radius. After I sold my extended I got another 7.3 single cab just because I couldn't do the turning radius anymore.

I've never understood why that generation of Fords is called OBS. Wouldn't old body style be everything prior to the current? Regardless, i love my '93.

I've always known the 92-96(97) being OBS. 87-91 being Brick nose. 80-86 being Bull nose. 73-79 being Dent sides and 67-72s being Bump sides. I've heard some call OBS trucks Aero nose but no clue how they got considered OBS.

I would run those 4 subs in 1.5 cubes at 35 hz Bobby. Very good choice for a single cab truck.

Lol I always refer to the 87-91 as the "Butterface" model. I loved my 87, but they were some ugly trucks.

My other VW that I used to own. 64' Karmann Ghia. Hot VW's magazine. It had a 1,641 cc engine with nitrous.

you wI’ll gain some low end putting them in a box that large, and power handling will get lower. if you have the proper amperage draw and wattage, I would keep them in a smaller box. If you like a huge hump in your low end bass, as a primarily rap music listener, you might like them in 1 cube each sub. I’m a primarily metal listener, and those subs will be much flatter without the huge low end gain in 1.5 cubes .

cabin gain in a single cab truck is different than your VW bug was also.

Over size the port a little also, if you can design it into your box. Small boxes and low tuning in a single cab gets tricky sometimes.

Just my opinion. Those subs are decent enough, that they will still sound good in 1 cube each. They’re almost the perfect choice for a single cab truck, IMO.
