How do you know if your sub is hitting to hard?

yeah but zapco amps are uder rated so should i be worried? I mean i really dont care i blow the subs i got them from my dealer who made my box and put the subs in and if i blow them i got 2 yrs warranty so i really dont care lol.
BZZZZT! Wrong answer. If you push your subs to the breaking point your dealer might forgive things once. Beyond that, you're on your own. Most warranties do not cover misuse of subs.

Hmm well i asked the deal what subs i should use for the zapco since he is a zapco dealer and he told me jbl cause i was using treo before. so if he told me to use these subs and i blow them and he knew what amp i have shouldnt it be his fault then?

like mr ogo said the dealer usually will forgive you once but after that its all on you... Most dealers don't know what the hell they're talkin about anyway

no offense to the dealers on ca.com

well i blew my subs i think somtimes it will hit at full power but then sometime the amp will shut off and it will hit half power about. i think the wiring the installer did it wrong but nmot sure cause it will hit at full power then go into protection mode but it seems to only play full power when ever it wants to for only a short time but my jbl gti subs cant handle my zapco 9.0 i have 3 of them so i think i am going to go with 3 digital design 9512 and get them to be a dual 6 ohm configuration also. What do you guys think?

prolly ur ohm load is dropping to low and ur amp is shuttin down so you don't blow it up or you're reachin the amps peak power and it won't let you cross it.

no shit. you would think people would understand this.

a warranty covers the item failing because of something the factory ****ed up. the factory believes under normal use you should get a minimum of X years. if you get less then X years theyll replace it or fix it.

if you kill it because your an idiot, how the hell is that the manufacturers fault? no ****ing warranty for you ****tard! you think burnt voice coils, tinsel leads etc etc arent an obvious sign of abuse?

4ohms which the zapco 9.0 has a 2ohm version and a 4 ohm version and i have the 4 ohm version and i have the subs wired in series for 4 ohms with those metal plates taken off. But do you think the subs can handle the power? Cause zapco 9.0s are underrated and some can easily do 3000 rms.
Ok.. so you have three 4 ohm subs wired to 4 ohms? Odd, since that is impossible.

amp is not reaching peak power when i dont even have the gain all the way up and i have the subs control -25 and volume not all the way up then its not maxing out.

i thought the same the load is messed up but i checked them they are at 4ohm load.

how is this my fault when the dealer told me to get these subs cause they said the subs will be able to handle the amp so the subs blew not my fault i just bought these subs also i will take them back tell them i dont want these subs cause they cant handle my amp like he said they can.

where do you see anywhere in that quote me saying i have 4 ohm subs? there dual 6ohms. if you dont know about the subs then dont comment your input. Its obvious you dont even know anything about these subs.
