How do you know if your sub is hitting to hard?

4ohms which the zapco 9.0 has a 2ohm version and a 4 ohm version and i have the 4 ohm version and i have the subs wired in series for 4 ohms with those metal plates taken off. But do you think the subs can handle the power? Cause zapco 9.0s are underrated and some can easily do 3000 rms.

yeah but zapco amps are uder rated so should i be worried? I mean i really dont care i blow the subs i got them from my dealer who made my box and put the subs in and if i blow them i got 2 yrs warranty so i really dont care lol.

They should hold up... You're not runnin much more than their recommend rms

well straight blowin them isn't the way to go... You might want to try and break them in for awhile and then go to increasing power. As far as ported goes, I'm pretty positive it will be louder.

well i played them really hard today for like a hr but other then that maybe giving them a total of 1000 rms but i did play them at i am guessing 1800 rms for like an hr tonight so will that be bad now is it to late or anything or am i still ok? I am also going to show my friend how hard it hits tommorow or should i wait for now on until they break in?

You should be alright, you didnt smell anything burning did ya? Just keep it low-medium vol for like a week- 2 weeks to allow all the parts to break in... Sealed boxes tend to have high excursion for the subs and I'm pretty sure that isn't good for them right out of the box compared to a ported enclosure where it doesn't take as much excursion to get loud at the hz the box is tuned at

no burning smell just alot of bass. Do u think i messed somthing up by playing it so hard for a hr?
