Gain Setting Tutorial

ROE usually takes a few days ... and I needed a temporary host for ROE to download them, anyways ...
I'm seeding all 4 of them right now, so I don't know why you can't download them ...
Hmmm, well what program do you use? I'm using the bitlord 1.1 that came with your link. Under Seed/peer [all] it says 0/1 [0/2], what does this mean, how do i get it to download?

EDIT: Oops, just realized I didn't update the ones in my sig. Those ones didn't have a tracker, so they didn't work. Just updated them, so they should work now ... DBfan187 and SS3079 have already downloaded them as well as 1 other person.
Sweet, works now, thanks.

edit: how do i seed them? I'm gonna put em up for a while and see if it's not too much of a drain on my comp, if it is i'll have to shut it off cuz this thing gets loud.

When it's finished downloading, it should automatically start seeding. Most people immediately terminate it, though, which is not what I want.
The more people that seed the files, the faster everyone else will get them and the less bandwidth it'll eat up from the people seeding them (like me, for example).

I just want people to seed the file(s) they downloaded while their BT clients are running. You don't have to have your computer on all the time.
Alright, i'll just seed it whenever i'm using the comp, I don't use bitorrent very often, i guess more like never lol. But i'll have it seeding tonight because your 1-100hz test tones is gonna take a while lol.

Still a little confused on this new method of setting gains. Would you just use a -6 (or -3, -10, etc) db test tone, and set the gains normally, like you would with a 0db test tone? For example, 4ohm x 100w = 20v with a -6db test tone instead of 20v with a 0db test tone?

Yes, but if you're not very sure of what you're doing I wouldnt suggest using a -6 tone.

With the Formula Sqrt(Power*Resistance) = Voltage

Power being the Wattage of the amp... My MRD-M1005 Alpine Amplifier did NOT come with a birthsheet... So I have no idea what wattage its putting out at 2ohms, its rated at 1000W, but some people are saying its doing about 780W or so??... What do I go with, when doing my calculations...

Ive come up with this...

1000W RMS into 2 Ohms = 44.7v

800W RMS into 2 Ohms = 40v

Which should I go with?!

Im running a Type-R 12" AGAIN, so im over powering it either way.

Also, is THIS a good DMM?

Thanks.

k, so i am goin to my friends house in about 30 minutes to try out one of his amps, he says it can put out 1200 watts at 4 ohms, and it is not 2 ohm stable..... I will be hooking it up to my Dual 4-ohm T9500, i want 800 watts running to it, but since the amp is not 2 ohm stable i will have it running at 8 ohms, soo do i take sqrt(800*2)...........which is 80v, is this correct ????
