Looking good.

Nothing spectacular yet and the hardest of the work is yet to come, but i was finally glad to get some work done and post it to get some thoughts. Thanks dude.

Not a bad start my man. I would suggest affixing the pods to the door panels themselves while they cure. Curing resin ( the hotter the mix the worse it happens) tends to shrink a little and cause large flat panels to warp. And my mold fabric of choice is a polyester based swimsuit material called polydex. yeah, should have gone with the mat. I think after we bondo it and sand it, it will be fine though. That picture makes it look even worst than it really is too.

Oh definitely, it'll turn out just fine. Mat is just easier to use on curved surfaces, and there's less air bubbles etc.

finished a layer of bondo and i think it's looking good. I test fitted everything on the door panel and it fits great. I sanded it for about 3 hours and didn't even scratch the surface. This shit takes forever!!!!

Looking good. Just for future reference (not sure if you did this or not), once the bondo starts hardening you can take some 60grit to it, and just shave it down to the rough shape you want. Then once it fully dries you can sand it to how you want it.

They make a bondo grater that looks like a cheese grater just for this purpose:fyi:
