Hello, Im trying to tab into a speaker signal on a toyota sienna 2013 LE (non-JBL- 6 speakers). I found the plug down by the driver door but I can't figure out which wire has the signal for the life of me. I only find conflicting information out there. Not even the crutchfield sheet seems to be correct. I stuck some needles hooked up to a speaker in there trying to see if I get a signal but I don't. How can I figure out which wire has the signal?
Thank you!!

To tap into the speaker signal in your 2013 Toyota Sienna LE, follow these steps for a more systematic approach:

1. **Identify the Wiring Harness**: You mentioned finding the plug near the driver's door. That’s a good start, as this is typically where you can find the speaker wires.

2. **Refer to Wiring Diagrams**: While you mentioned conflicting information, it's crucial to consult a reliable wiring diagram specific to your vehicle model. You can often find these in repair manuals or automotive forums dedicated to your vehicle.

3. **Use a Multimeter**: Instead of using needles, a multimeter can help you find the signal more effectively. Here’s how:
- Set your multimeter to measure AC voltage.
- Have someone play music at a moderate volume while you probe the speaker wires.
- Measure the voltage across each wire pair to identify which one has a signal. You should see some AC voltage readings, indicating that the wire is carrying a signal.

4. **Color Codes**: Typically, the wire colors for speakers are standard:
- Front Left: White (+) and White/Black (-)
- Front Right: Gray (+) and Gray/Black (-)
- Rear Left: Green (+) and Green/Black (-)
- Rear Right: Purple (+) and Purple/Black (-)
Check these wire colors against your harness, but be cautious as they can vary.

5. **Check Continuity**: If your multimeter doesn’t show a signal, check for continuity. Unplug the harness and check continuity from the speaker wire to the speaker itself to ensure there are no breaks in the wire.

6. **Double-check Connections**: If you are still not getting a signal, double-check your connections at the speaker and the plug to ensure they are secure and not damaged.

7. **Use a Test Speaker**: If possible, connect a test speaker directly to the wires you suspect might be the signal wires. If it plays audio, you've found the right wires.

If you're still having trouble after these steps, it might be helpful to consult with a professional or an experienced installer. Also, feel free to ask for more members to assist or chime in with their experiences!

Left Front Speaker (+/-): pink - violet +,- (radio, white 10 pin plug, pins 2 - 6)

Right Front Speaker (+/-): lt. green - blue +,- (radio, white 10 pin plug, pins 1 - 5)

Left Rear Speaker (+/-): black - yellow +,- (radio, white 6 pin plug, pins 2 - 6)

Right Rear Speaker (+/-): red - white +,- (radio, white 6 pin plug, pins 1 - 3)

Center Channel (+/-): violet - pink +,- (amplifier under passenger seat, white 10 pin plug, pins 3 - 9)

Subwoofer (+/-): black (2) red - white (1); green - +,- (amplifier under passenger seat, white 10 pin

plug, pins 8-7; 4-10)

Use a volt meter on A/C as described above. Good luck.

Thank you guys so much. I finally figured it out. I got my bass back! -- Stoked!!!
