That's the plan! Put in side and rear bracing today, need to decide of I'm going to make the second run from the alternator under the car or inside. Don't know if I feel like drilling more holes in my firewall :|Seal off the front when its done

Under the car is easier all around wiring but id personally never do it. Too much risk for me.That's the plan! Dat seal though.. Yeah I feel the same, it would be extremely easy but I've bottomed out the car plenty of times as it is (It sits extremely low in the rear even with helper springs) So that makes me even more apprehensive. There's about a 4" gap on either side of the box, which makes me think I may be able to fill the entire gap with "big gap" expanding foam.. Would make it much easier than trying to fit pieces of wood as the side of the car is curved. Or.. I could tough it out, and try to cut some pieces that'll fill part of the gap, then fill the rest..Under the car is easier all around wiring but id personally never do it. Too much risk for me.

I cut out cardboard to fit everything first. Then transferred to wood. Just take your time. The top part has as much wood as possible but it has expanding foam on top.Dat seal though.. Started tearing into the passenger side kick panel. Found the ECU wire harness grommet so if I find the motivation I might have the last two runs done today... Probably not lol. I have some scrap 1/2 inch MDF left over that I'm going to cut out to fill the majority of the gaps. It'll also be a smooth surface to paint so that's an extra bonus.. Doing all of this in a parking lot gets me plenty of weird *** looks, spent an hour or two last night sanding and cutting wood on the curb...I cut out cardboard to fit everything first. From the back^^
From the front. I taped it off and sprayed so its unseeable from the front and its still really removable

Second run, through the firewall.

**** yeah Id much rather use solid lugs, and a work bench, and a garage lol.. Anyway after making the second run I now have some interference on my RCAs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Here's some more indepth info http://www.caraudio.com/forums/wiring-electrical-installation-help/628348-interference-after-adding-second-power-ground-run.html#post8838908

For soldering. I take a sealed copper lug. Cut a short bit of solder. Put it in the lug. Heat up the lug. It melts the solder and creates a puddle inside it. Then you dip the wire into the lug and leave it for a minute. Itll cool, expand and lock all around the wire and lug. Creates a clean awesome solder

So after leaving them a voicemail, I got an email within ten minutes about what's up.Amp update, db-r has stopped responding to my inquiries about the order I placed on 4 Sept... Left them a voicemail today, hopefully someone there has some answers.
So they're most definitely back in good-guy status. DC-Power says they're finishing up the internal components of my XP270, installing that is going to be quite the task, on the 3.5L altima's you have to pull the radiator to get the alternator out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/clap.gif.178cba2c538c68e720c727fcb024b19c.gifThe comments for your order are: Hello David I got your messages, sorry I
have been out of the shop alot lately. I have an order from Sundown that is
scheduled for Delivery on this Friday, but when I looked at the notes on the
shipment it just showed a bunch of small amps, I don't think the 6000's and
NS-1v2's are in this shipment, it's Ground and they probably are sending the
bigger amps by freight because of the weight, it's several 6000's and
NS-1's, that shipment should be in next week. I have been after them about
the orders and they say they have just been backed up in their shipping
department.
