Need help installing aftermarket subwoofer setup into my new used car.

On second thought, Mitchell is probably right. An OEM amp may modify the signal to protect the sub. So instead of a regular digital LOC, get an Audiocontrol LC2i Pro. It wires up exactly as above but it has better features.
I wasn’t listening or paying attention due to his untrusted member tag, and what others have been saying. But if you truly agree to that I will purchase that instead… I just need to be for sure

The other thing I noticed as well is that there’s a bass knob installed but where would that connection be located. As I see you’re supposed to plug that into the LOC…

Of course. Purchasing the correct LOC. And what? We'll need to get this correct or nothing will change. How much volts to the head units? We can measure the differential inputs. Pre-amp inputs, radio. And speaker outputs, amplifier. LOC takes the nod, setting the correct signals. How many volts then at this junction?

That was probably from the old amplifier. Some LOC/DSPs do come with a bass knob.

OEM amplifiers lower the bass output as the radio volume goes up. This is to protect the flimsy OEM subs from failing too soon. I would not want you to purchase and wire a regular LOC only to find out this is the case and having to re-do it.
So my suggestion is to purchase the Audiocontrol.

This is a Lexus. Good operating car. So setting the Lexus to premium sounds, is really technical stuff. For technicians, all we can do is measure the junction points, buy the correct LOC, learn how to by passby a factory amplifier, and then the rest takes over. Good sounds. Nothing to it right? Good.

I’d like to utilize his existing bass knob. Does that connect anywhere to one of the running wires to the amp somewhere? How does this work so that it’s functional when everything is hooked up.

Those are usually amp specific; but you can check the wire behind it to see if your amp's knob can plug right in.
The wire should be in the trunk. Check to see if it fits into the amp (amp off).

The plot thickens.
This is the setup in my old Acura with my amp. Is that grey wire on the right side the bass knob wire by any chance?
