amp and sub matches that are good

i have the one now on a set of rubber bump pads about an inch off the bottom of the box. with 2 fans pushing and 2 fans pulling. it seems to be working.
Man thats excellent!!! Most just toss an amp in and screw it down, and wonder why the amp/amps get hot and shut down on them or get so hot that they just fry and shut down and have to spend more $ on another amp and repeat the process. Deep pockets for those guys. Hmm. Some of us dont have those pockets to dig into.

Hmm.Id have to look those up.. Im not a Steve Meade fan by any means,as a couple others as well.. Kinda like a Maggot that feeds off others for gain and boast about it without any remorse of the buyers that pay theyre bills, and dont give 2

i k ow i dont, pretty mych everything you have said ive added to the car, plys reading alot of your posts helping other people with amp problems. i wouldnt be anywhere near where i am today had you not helped. i read a lot of stuff, but you help make it make sense. that goes a long way. gs sent an email today saying i should get a new alt belt and it should be from.5 to 1.0 inch shorter for the new amp. i sent them an email back and asked them which one they recommend, because i only want to do this once. im kind of dreading having to take out this alternator because of the tension arm and its location. im pretty sure there will be wrenches flying and much knashing of teeth... lol

you know, i didnt even think of that.. they might have to wait or be put somewhere in the cab
thats exactly the kind of stuff i was talking about. you have already worked through this stuff and are keeping me from falling right into it. sometimes i wish i still had my kia sorento. it would have been perfect for this, size wise. but i really miss the old american vehicles where you could actually climb in the engine compartment and work on stuff. my step dad gave me his 74 nova, and had i not gone in the army i think i would still have hung on to that baby

I did see some BNEW wrapped wrenches man.. LOL. Ive been around car audio since late 80s.. Before amps hit the market in my area, and more than 60 miles to the nearest Audio shops. I learned on my own for a very long time and ended up working in Audio Shops installing after working 30-50 hrs in hard construction,. I also learned along the way.. I have had so many audio systems myself, and I still like my audio. Im still learning even today. The internet is a vast of information and also learning from others as well from theyre great experiences as well as failures.Ive had plenty of failures in my time. If I can share my experiences with others to help as well as save some money..(as this can be an expensive hobby) its worth my time.

I like my 98 xcabs. I still work on them without any issues. Ive had my share of nice rides over the years. Things were simple back then. My 66 Chevy truck 3 on the tree with a straight 6 in it would run forever. I may have gotten up to 65-70 down hill in it.. $5 bucks on gas lasted almost a week driving 13 miles either way to school and back. LOL

smd had one design that i liked. it was for the 140 system where he did the magnets to seat the sub box in the trunk and wired the subs through the magnets. i dont know a lot about smd, but i read a couple of threads on here where some people have met him and said he acted weird. i would have to meet the guy to get an honest opinion on him, but you know what they say about opinions
