Featured Hooptie Scion TC build

So got off the phone with Stephanie from AutoTech and she said the "alternator tested fine" But It was "overheated from not being grounded"... I told her it 100% was grounded. You can even see in my picture posted here the two 2/0 grounds going to the ear of the alternator. She said but it's powder coated so that does not work. I told her the powder coating is grounded off the ears before the alternators are even sent out. The whole point in me sending it back was Sam was going to see what he could do about getting it to charge lower. She said you need to raise your idle. Which I have explained a few times isn't possible as it's drive by wire and no tunability available for them. She said she would have Sam call me back.
I got my alternator from this place. No issues this far. My voltage has yet to drop below 14.2

I was going to order my alternator in the next few weeks from them. Let us know how this works out cause I’m not trying to play musical alternator swaps lol.
 
At 650+ RPM voltage is great. Under 650 and it drops to 14.8 and keeps dropping slowly as the alternator is not charging at all. I'm just getting tired of having to keep my foot on the gas when idling. The low voltage alarm on my ISDT battery monitor is quite annoying. :LOL:

Didn't get a call back from him today so hopefully tomorrow.

Dumb question cause you may have already said it in an earlier post but you are running a 1/2” shorter belt right?

Also as you can see the little ground terminal isn’t being used in the video either. 💁‍♂️ Sam didn’t say anything about it being over heated like she told me from “not being grounded”.
 
I would have never guessed six 12’s in that car!

I hope it works out. I couldn't tell if they were saying "we fixed it" or "it tested good" in that video.
