I'll be honest, I actually think the pioneer sounds pretty darn good , it actually gets real low , I am a little disappointed in the out put - although it does a good job of rattling my car. The sub I previously had in there , the JL w6v3 10" in a HO110w6v3 box rattled it twice as hard and had less rms so this is why I'm looking to change out. The JL is now in my home entertainment system , It could be that the HO110 is in a higher tuned box which may create stronger vibrations, not sure but since the pioneer is tuned to low 31 this could affect the output , someone confirm my assumption please . All in all I like the lows on the pioneer over the JL but the output on JL was higher and a bit tighter and not bad by any means , I just want the pioneer in this box lows , with a little bit more output. How many people here have actually heard the Pioneer? Just curious.
So this ssa dcon with 400 rms should impress over this pioneer ? What about output wise ? The w6 is only 600 watts, I wonder if I can get similar output with lower deeper sound since it is a 12 and lower tuned box . Getting back to that American bass , no good ??Sound solutions audio Xcon save up for it. Its well worth.
That SSA Dcon will sh*t all over your pioneer as well. Rms does not always mean louder or nicer sounding.
I dare say youll enjoy the SQ over your W6 with the SSA xcon. However you'll also have the output of your two sa 12s if you put a 2.5k rms amp to it.
500 rms, nice !! Or nicer !!! Nicer than 400 right ? I had the sa 12"s and they were freaking crazy bad! It was a tad too much for me since I couldn't hear my mids , lol. I see why people like them. I'm ended up replacing those with w6v3 12"s and although they're not as loud I am very pleased with the output and lows. Anyhow, if these that v3 subs that you requested are anywhere near those sa subs , I'll be good to go. I think I'm putting this one on top of my list but still staying open to suggestions .Id get a sundown Ev3 over a Dcon and over a ab tnt.The Ev3 is performance wise close to a SAv1 which is badassss
Built multiple boxes for that exact pioneer. Best one was 2.5 cubes tuned to 32, did its job at slamming the lows better than any resemblance of it trying to play above 50hz. One of the worse sounding subwoofers sq wise. Theres basically a big hole in the sound spectrum no matter if you have a small high tuned, built to spec ported or a winisd perfect graph or free air. Sub just falls on its face right at 45hz and 55hz is non existent. Its that steep of a natural roll off. Weak motor, overly heavy cone design really shows how sh*t its efficiency is as well. How many people here have actually heard the Pioneer? Just curious.

Could have simply turned the sub level down. ... common sense.500 rms, nice !! Or nicer !!! Nicer than 400 right ? I had the sa 12"s and they were freaking crazy bad! I'm glad someone here besides the OP actually has experience with it! Nice review.Built multiple boxes for that exact pioneer. I can get it but not willing to do it - these Honda civics are easy money for thieves, they break the driver side window, alarm goes off, they reach down, pull the truck lever , walk around, open , pull out , throw in there car and drive away. They're in and out in about a minute. The stories I could tell you about sound system break ins are pretty crazy.Well start building an economy to help pay for the sub that you will be happy with lol. I've fueled a large portion of my upcoming build by cleaning out my toolbox and closet of old equipment and selling it.
Just waiting for a chance to do a build with that sub. I dont too much for anything under 28hz at all anyways. Got too much of that in my setup that i'd trade off anyday.I really enjoy the Pioneer ts-w1200pro in my vans, they're very musical, tight, doesn't need push power you can cross it as very high, and very loud. It's a steal at $110. It will work in your box though I think 2.5 cubic is closer to ideal with the 32hz tune. Down side their's not much output below 27hz. IMO best sub I have owned.
