which ID sub?

hey i want to spend three hundred dollars on a image dynamics subwoofer(s) which will be powered by either a viper 1200.1d or a hifonics 1800.1. should i go with one 12 inch IDmax subwoofer or go with 2 12 inch IDQ subs? or should i get 10s? i have an integra and space is kinda limited.. what kinda box should i go with? i want SQL! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

First of all, you can't make a bad dicision. Any ID subs you get, you will be happy with. I had 2 IDQs 12" and they sounded awesome. They weren't extremely loud, but still pretty loud.

Viper is a great amp line, to my knowledge Directed Electronics is canceling the Viper line up, because they did not want to have 2 top end amp lines competiting against each other, meaning Orion vs Viper, with PPI in the middle and Directed amps being the entry line, even though many have identical internals

 

anyway, the vipers are solid amps, and can be found cheap now online, if I dont buy a power bass amp, I might put the 5 channel Viper in the mountaineer for a single amp system

If you air space is limited then i would go with the 10's because they will call for a smaller box and as for the amp go with the viper there a great company

well which one will sound better though? two 10's or one 12?? ill base it on that fact.

10s in a good box will sound better than 12s in a box which is too small if u cant give them the recommended enclosure specs.

I had them in a sealed box. Yes, they were pretty dam loud. I could feel the bass in my chest and shook my car. They just weren't crap your pants loud. I hardly ever turned them all the way up.

The IDv3's are better than the current IDQ's (v2's) eventhough they are cheaper. Better power handling, more cone excursion, and Ive been told they sound every bit as good as the IDQ's if not better.
