Originally posted by kid I had the 760 sony amp too, and i also had two 12" alpine Type R s. they handle 300W a piece. Granted the sony amp does **** but it will move your subs and they will hit. you just have to becarefull of clipping and overheating. All in all, that amp will definatly make those subs kick.
WELL PUT

also if i may to some of the newbies there be this lil thing called ohms law... learn it it is in many a book. other things.....

rms power ratings are a more "true" power output..least by most companies.

resistive power rating is done with a resister non changing resistance (non reactive) ,

reactive power rateing is when its tested on a speaker with varing resistance (speakers impedence change with frequency)

dampening factor....is the amps ability to "control" the speaker.

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

Don't forget Hoffman's Iron Law. You can have 2 of the 3: low end, efficiency/sensitivity or small enclosure size...
