want new subs get the mtx 5512-44 from woofers etc. com i guarantee they hit hard and clear
Lol, did you read the first post?

I got 4 12"s already though.

But to clarify things, 1(one) big(big) sub(18"), 800$ max for the sub, looking at RMS watts of up to 2000 RMS, I will see to getting a good amp for it.

thanks I guess.

Edit:

I told ya, its like 3-4 cubes atleast, and the sub will probaly stick out around 1 foot at the most. Then the box may extend about 1/2 on both sides and 1 foot torwards the cabin. W/e is needed, haven't done any calculations.

Its a big tire well, I sat in the fuker for hours putting in the fatmat
I would say the smallest sealed box you could squeeze any 18 in is about 4 ft^3. Ported you'll want to shoot for around 6 cubes for most drivers but it really depends on the driver. If you glass the wheel well then raise the floor a few inches you could definitely get 6 cubes net, but it would be a ton of work.

yeah I understand, but in reality it shouldn't be too hard at all.

what I will do is tape off and seal the well, glass it, then glass a large lip, mount 1-4" mdf to make a square around it, make the 18" hole out of mdf, calculate the approx size and mount it in the desired direction and height, stretch some fleece and glue it to the wood, get the wrinkles out, fiberglass it all, bondo, sand, primer, paint the fuker, and call it a day.

Have you plaid with glass yet? It takes forever Good luck though!

I know the sanding takes a while.

However, I live in florida and the curing/drying time won't be a problem unless it rains.

With the way I work and my friend's experience, I'm confident it won't take incredibly long, perhaps a week or two at the very most as long as I got all my materials and stuff ready to go.

...oh and I didn't mean a day literally.

Don't worry, he's an ******* too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
