Right now I'm leaning torwards:

Digital Design's (DD9917b or DD9515e...prices?)

RE's (SX18 or XXX18, again prices?)

 

TREO's (SSX18.22, prices?!)

Edit: if I get the TREO 18, I think I might also get two "SSXD1500.1"s one for each 2ohms coil...How good are their amps comparied to othe companies with similar performance?

its just a bunch of legacy and boss amps and some type r's doesnt impress me all that much

I cut corners on the amps but that is because I don't even have a job.

The money I've made has been from doing yardwork, ect.

Well that's beside the website I did for around $1300.00. 24 hours worth of work over a span of 3 months, but I did organize all the information, drove to their office, ect, ect. It's just hard to get customers, most people don't have that kinda money availible, I did it freelance for a company that heard of me through my dad which is in the same business.

Plug: I'm pretty good at doing websites though, pm me if ya want one, 400 bucks for a good design, not too big, it all depends...Edit: the website is http://www.unioncomplete.com.

This summer I'm gonna work for my dad save up untill I have enough for a new alt, yellowtop batt, the subwoofer, fiberglass and supplies, and the amp(s).

Oh and I got everything through Ebay and online stores (besides boxes, built them myself to save even more cash)

I got it all for like 50-60% of what it would have costed.

Comp. Amp: (1x) Boss 1600watt 4 channel C800 $175?, $110.

Subs: (4x) Alpine Type R 12" SWR-1241D $800, try $360 (2 new for $250, 2 used for $60 each)

Sub Amp: (2x) Legacy 2400 watt LA2080, planing to upgrade to (2-3x) Alpine MRD-M1001 (1000watts rms @ 2ohms) 2 new for $200+~? each, 2 new for $150 each

Box: 6 Cube ft. Box Tuned@35hz; Vent@25hz - ??? Decibels!!!! $100 dollar box + 2x $50 boxes (old ones) $200; probaly $90 total for materials.

Wiring: 20 feet 0 Gauge Power Wire; 200 Amp Fuse $100-$200 RCAs, kits, ects; $40 0 guage 20ft, $9 fuse block, $6 dist block, 3-8 guage inline fuses, batt. terminals...$$$

Deading: (36sq ft.) Fatmat Extreme! $150 possible?; $70.

It all adds up, its like a $2,500 system. For around 1,500; or so...

I figured I would go ahead and pay a bit more for a nicer speaker, I know I have plenty of space for it in my trunk, YET It still won't take up as much as the current box!

The TREO seems like an awesome subwoofer, having trouble letting it go just because of the popularity RE has, I wanna check it out some more!

The DD seem like good subs, excellent subs, but they're FUGLY. And what is the price on those? It's hard to get an idea or even some trust of that company. I have no idea of their tech support, availability, price, ect, ect...

So yeah^~.

that is not exactly a true statement. the xxx and the sx are built for different purposes, so the xxx is not necessarily "nicer". look at acidburns setup, he obviously had some cash (2 15'' sx, may have changed....) but he apparently sided for the sx over anything else.

preferences, cleaner, power handling...HOWEVER, with less power the sx will stomp it in spl. i'm trying to buy one sx off acidbrn, if he'd return my pm
