are you sure? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifOkay..., maybe it was just his setup. Who knows.I would imagine a large 18" subwoofer would hit pretty low, and tuning it correctly, it should sound plenty good SQL wise.
I don't see the huge problem you're describing, especially if it was "designed" for SQ.
wtf rawr, what do u want from this sub. u just said u wanted it to be sql oriented, but u want huge output...and what exactly do u mean by "higher" frequencies? most music bass is in the 60 and down area.....is that what ur talking about?I wanted just one sub for simplicity, I figured an 18 would have a high output, but the size of it allowing it to hit pretty low, and be loud but filter out some of the higher freqs so that it doesn't sound like crap.
what if you want it to be loud at some times and then you just want it to blend well at other times? That sounds like the definition of an SQL woofer to me regardless of the size. I'd say my setup does that pretty well as well as countless others...i didn't say that. what i did say is that if ur buying an 18'' for ur system, ur usually looking for high levels of spl. high spl does not exactly mean good sq.
it does not look like ur running an 18 however. come on now, when someone want's good sq bass, they don't look for a ****ing solo x or mt 18.what if you want it to be loud at some times and then you just want it to blend well at other times? That sounds like the definition of an SQL woofer to me regardless of the size. I'd say my setup does that pretty well as well as countless others...
wait wait wait, ur FIFTEEN inch is tuned at 45 hz, and ur telling me that you still get sq out of it...i'd need to hear that one unless i am missing something.what if you want it to be loud at some times and then you just want it to blend well at other times? That sounds like the definition of an SQL woofer to me regardless of the size. I'd say my setup does that pretty well as well as countless others...
also, look at the thread title. uberwoofer 18'' does not exactly make one think about sq, now does it?what if you want it to be loud at some times and then you just want it to blend well at other times? That sounds like the definition of an SQL woofer to me regardless of the size. I'd say my setup does that pretty well as well as countless others...
