system build pics. floating amp rack

Cute?? i'm guessing that was a slam. to each is own i guess but i find the design anything but cute.
I'm guessing it was too, but you have to consider the source. He's a "gangsta" , so if it ain't a gun or some"bling" it's not shit to him

My opinion, thats some good quality work, keep it up:thumbsup:

thanks , not a big deal i dont expect everyone to like it. the world would be a very boring place if we all liked the same thing:)

in this pic you can see the lights installed on the painted rack without the covers. a few people asked for a pic so they could see how the lights were installed. they are standard 1 watt LED's. very basic really but also very effective.

once its in the truck I will begin to do the detail paint work. it needs to be done in the truck becasue i need to see just where each area falls in the truck so that everything is lined up.

this morning i finished running all the wires for the system lighting as well as the bass knob for the amps. I also started to rebuild the back of my truck to get ready to receive everything. here are a few pics of the lighting switches and amp controls. i have put everything on a switch. subs, highs, lighting, amps, even the head unit. I did this so that i can switch off any part of the system at any time to help with trouble shooting and or aid in replacment without having to remove any wires. i simply flip a switch. I choose to install all the switches on the fuse pannel cover so that when and if I someday get a new truck i can very cheaply buy a new cover and it will all be stock again. this is alot better then cutting holes in a large part of the dash. in the end there will be 7 switches

man, that is absolutely incredible work, i applaud you for your hard work and dedication to create something with heart, detail, and a true meaning of "custom".

anymore people think and call "custom" just throwing a ***** box into a trunk with an amp screwed to the box and some of the wires hidden "custom" LOL

here are a few new pictures. i did a quick last test fit of everything before making the finishing covers and such. over all i'm very happy so far. its not a super complicated install but its better then the average installs i have done in the past. I think it will end up very simple clean, pleasing to the eye and something i wont have to be affraid to show. now that i'm sure everything fits right my wife will begin to add the paint. some pin striping and other things to give a nice two tone look. after this i will start on the dash doors and new seats. should be playing it by the end of this weekend. On the side of the rack you will see some wedges holding the rack up. I have decided to replace those with plexi legs to give it a cleaner look. i will post some final pics soon
