system build pics. floating amp rack

built the box today. I sanded and rounded every edge and it is now ready to bondo and fiber glassing and then paint. the glassing will only be a cover really and just for looks. as you can see the box itself is all MDF. tonight i will add lots of bracing and some finishing touches.

the box is 10 cubes after port and sub. it will be tuned to 38 since its my everyday truck.

great to see someone on this board that know what they are doing and doing it right. instead of just being a post***** and a newb to car audio eventhough they have more than 1000 posts. i like your install and advise you find a shop to hone those skills.

thanks again.

the truck is a f150 super crew..

wes i am in the tampa bay area

thanks satx, I have been into this hobby for a very long time now. just took a break for several years. I dont forsee working in a shop unless i owned it. my day job as a manager for a national paramedical company and my own coral and reef tank business keeps me VERY busy. but its nice to see that someone thinks i can still do a nice job

in these pics you can start to see how it is all coming together. in the last pic you can see how i decided that i did not want to have a single screw showing when everythign is said and done so i did not want to just screw the rack to the box. i decided to put bults into the frame of the rack and then use nuts and washers on the inside of the box to hold it on. this also makes it alot more secure. only the rack had primer on it so far. i will do the bbox by this weekend while i prep for the other stuff
