sub wont play louder

ok pretty sure i fixed the other problem...now my only ? is why wont my sub play??? i turn the gain up and put my head right above the sub and i can barely hear it...what could cause this?

If available, get the RCA's from a known working amp and plug them into the non functioning amp. Got sound? yes = bad sub amp RCA's : bad output from HU : improper fader settings at HU. No sound = bad output from amp : bad sub. Check all connections again. If it is a DVC sub then make sure you are hooked up in correct phase. That should get ya a better idea on where to start.
