Sub to replace epic 10

I am looking to replace my TC Epic 10, I have it in a ported enclosure tuned to 28 made by elemental designs. The port to reach this, makes the box so big, I can't fit speakers in my rear deck, I have a tiny scion xa. I want to give it to my girl, and get something smaller, even less power as my car is a hatchback and doesn't need redic amounts, I am more into SQ which this sub is awesome especially with the box I have.. but need to downsize.

I have 6.5 alpine type R components up front, 6x9 type R's sealed and boxed in rear deck custom made powered by a 4 channel.

Sub AMP: Hifonics, 750RMS stable at 1ohm, 500rms at 2ohm

*Looking for 1, 10.. or 2, 8's or anything really up to 750rms at 1ohm, will do 500rms though, more into sound quality. Would prefer something that would work good sealed if possible, but want deep base. Really, something that will work in a smaller enclosure is what i am looking for if possible.

Any suggestions? I have considered 2, alpine type R 8inch dual 4ohms wired to 1ohm.

Epic 8's. If you can find Soundsplinter "orphan 8" those should be comparable. A lot of guys have a ****** for the Sundown SA-8 these days too so they may be worth considering. Type R is decent for a budget sub but IMO not something you'd buy if you have budget for nice things.

idk if sundown would be anything near a epic 10 in sq. but im not completely sure.

Can I give an epic 8, 750rms at 1ohm in a small, sealed enclosure and sound good?

Tang Band only rated at 150W.

Dunno about SQ on the sundown 8's, probably decent in the right box, should ask Jacob.
