Sub Questions

Uh What?
I built a 1^3 box for my Polk Audio SR124 DVC and the recommend box size is 1.2^3. Would it make that much of a difference to build a box at the recommend 1.2 or is it one of those try it to find out?

My thought is to build the 1.2^3 box and put a little bit of poly fill on the back side of the box for increased SQ. At least that's my thought on polyfill after reading all the other posts which seem to have completely different opinions on it. Is it a good thing or not?

Just adding polyfill doesn't automatically improve SQ. All it does is trick the sub into thinking that there is more space in the box than there really is, so adding some to a box that is already too big will just make things worse. If you're building a box to spec you shouldn't need it.

The box I have now is smaller than the recommended size. From your experience will it make that much of a difference to add .2^3? I know that polyfill will trick the box into thinking there is more air volume, but I have also read that it will help SQ making a deeper smoother less boomy sound. If I did add polyfill it wouldn't be too much. I was thinking to put on the back wall of the sub box.
