This will be my first system. i made the box a few days ago with plans off carstereo.com. They werent as nice as everyone here though. they wouldnt tell me what i did wrong they just said you did it totally wrong and kept makin comments

You bridge channels on an amplifier - not voice coils on a subwoofer.

voice coils and impedence matters when choosing an amp... see how some amps are like 2 ohms or 4 ohms...you have to match the ohms of a sub to the ohms of an amp...

whats your price range for 1 12" and an amp if you get rid of the sony

your amp will put out power according to the voice coils. 1 4 ohm sub will make the amp see 4 ohms. a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub will make the amp see 2 ohms. the amp you're looking at will show what it'll do at each ohm rating.
