sub cutting out

Ok heres my first post. I have a 1999 chevy malibu v6 with a optima yellow top and the big 4 wire uprgrade. I have a alpine cda-105 head unit infinity kappa 6x9s and 4x6s and a alpine type R 12" 2 ohm sub (just one) with a alpine mrp-m500 amp. oh and a rockford fosgate 1 farad cap. But anyway initially before the yellow top and big 4 upgrade my amp was going into protect mode at a certain volume and cutting out my sub and because my lights were dimming i figured it's probly under powered so i got the yellow top optima and the big 4 wire upgrade now all my lights in my car and head lights dont dim at all but the sub still cuts out. I have a really good ground on the amp so it cant be the ground I just dont no what it is. Its not liek the amp it over powering the sub because the amp is an exact match for the sub I have. Now I'm planning on getting another 12" type R which would be 1000 watts and im getting a 300 watt amp for my 6x9s and 4x6s. I dont want all this to keep happening with the new setup. any help is apretiated.

wired in series presents a 4ohm load on amp (not utilizing all your power) so actually, adding a second d2 in series will present 2ohm load, and utilize all your power. And your electrical is more than enough for that amp..ditch the cap

Im not sure i bought the swr-1222D which is a 500 watt 2 ohm sub and it has 2 banana plugs in the actual sub connecting 4 connectors. If that helps you?
