sub cuts out at high volumes!! Help

I know there are probably alot of threads about this, but my subwoofer keeps cutting out at high volumes! Its just my sub that cuts out, everything else plays. I have secured my grounds and charged my battery and it still cuts in and out. My amp is at 2 ohms which is totally fine because it is 1 ohm stable. Any ideas, why it keeps cutting in and out?

your voltage is probably dropping too low and your amp is going into protect mode.

my voltage is fine. My amp does go into protect mode though.

my ground is attached to the top of the trunk. Its secured and tight

That might not be enough, most trunks are light sheet metal. Try attaching it to the rear strut bolt, or even the rear seat belt bolt.

no, its at the roof of the trunk itself, if that makes sense.

im going to go wire it into 8 ohms real quick to see if that helps. Ill be back, thanks for the help so far.

Ok, try regrounding.

Use the floor of the trunk. Grind the paint off and use a self tapping screw.

Also, break out a multimeter and check your voltage at the amp.
