well im going to be competing in street max and this is not a daily driver, so during a show it will only be doing short 3-5 second burps. so as for upgrading the alternator it is...
1) not aloud in this class

2) only benefit is charging in between runs as car must be turned off.

not much as he is only burping for a few seconds. one or two batteries should suffice.

well the class only allows 1 battery under 800 cubic inch. so I'm really leaning towards xs 3100D. it's like 775 cu in and I've seen them bench tested and they really hold up.

if i were you i'd get the odyssey pc 2150 ,much better battery and stronger

actually you can get a bigger alt if you can get it in the stock location , all the db drag classes now as of 2012 allow all the cars to be running in the lanes .

well despite all the snow and cold, the amps arrived today. I was nervous about the condition they could have arrived in givin they were shipped across the country and crossing the boarder but they showed up in mint shape.
as for progress. . I didn't do anything until the amps showed up then I started running power wire to the back.

and on a sde note, I have been in contact with George at atomic and will be getting 4 of the AP 8" for my daily driver. . just need to find another amp cuz don't think my 1600 watt Harrison HLABS will push them that well with the coil configuration.

I did order and pay for the spl labs Bluetooth meter.. part of the group buy. not sure when it will be there but as soon as I get back home and have it I want to meter this bad boy!

out of town working nightshift, how much better does it get!? lol... but seriously. . I've been looking into some Chinese amplifier build houses and I'm going to pick one 5000 watt up for a demo. see how it does. ive read to much crap about people trashing the amps with no real proof and all Jacob said was he tested them out but didn't pass for him.. so why didn't he like them? who knows.. but I figure maybe they will pass for me. ohh and just so its not a bias review I'm also having a third-party do a bench test and review on them so there will finally be real, readable, watchable, and written review on these amps.

I feel it will be money well spent, dam I buy dumb shat all the time.. why not on this?

I'll keep you updated and tell you the exact amplifier with specifications when I get everything sorted out... stay tuned!

Almost, the budget was 1600 for high hopes of 160db. I picked up the meter for $379 shipped on a group buy going on right now. which puts me at 1572.23 leaves me with $27.77. I don't really think I'm gonna find a battery and H.O. alternator on budget... but what I will do is finish everything off the way it is and meter it.
