Speaker brackets

I need some advise please...

I have taken out my old speaker out of the car door.

You can see the speaker in its housing and the empty door panel.

Problem is the new speaker is too small to fit directly onto the door panel. Is the best way forward to make or buy a plastic/wood adapter or bracket?

I actually thought that the old speaker came out of the plastic housing and I could just put the new one in there but its one solid unit.

**** I should of checked more throughly!

Hey,Here you are but It's korean car.

Ssangyong Rexton Rx320 2002.

I tried looking it up on Crutchfield but this car isn't exported to the US.

It can be found in the UK but not this model.Arrrhhhh
Look up a Nissan from the same year. I have a pair of adapter brackets here that would almost certainly work.

That speaker isn't removable from the pod/bracket?

My s10 has similar but the pod the 6.5" speakers are into the pod itself is riveted to the door itself.

The speaker is attached to the speaker housing and it all unscrews so theres just a metal whole left.

I have just realised I haven't taken into consideration the distance from the bare metal door to the inner door where the speaker grill fits. Thats 32mm according to my calculations. So not only does it need to be 32 mm thick it also has to be the right size for the new speakers and old holes. Re measure I think!

Try PVC Speaker Adapters - CNC Machined - In Stock or Custom Made. I went through them and purchased speaker brackets specifically made for the model year of my vehicle. Also, just to be on the safe side, order the spacers too. I ordered the 1/4" spacers for both front doors since the speakers I purchased were too big and it would hit the windows when rolled down. Just an FYI, if the spacers still aren't enough and you find that the magnets are still hitting the windows when rolled down, try using 1/4" foam tape to give it that extra space. That's what I did since the magnets were still hitting the windows. Hope this helps you out.
